Kaitlyn is me. I know I've said this before but today was one of those days, those really hard days, that you'd prefer to forget but know you never will. Owen got fed up with me yelling at him so he said "I don't want to have a Mommy and Daddy and baby anymore." That felt nice. It pretty much summed up the day.
But that wasn't my point. My point is that Katie is like me in so many ways! If I try to give her a new food, or even put anything in her mouth, she pulls away until she can see what it is. Just like me. If it's a new food that she doesn't recognize we literally have to shove it into her mouth so she'll taste it. Sound familiar Mom?
In the past, Katie has always shied away from the stairs. She'll climb one or two steps and then yell until we get her down. Today she decided she was done with that. Ugh. She must have made it up the stairs in 2 seconds flat. She's a tough cookie though. Katie fell down half the stairs and acted like nothing happened. She had a shot at the Doctor's this morning and barely cried. She shakes things right off. If I get hurt I generally lay there until somebody notices and feels bad for me. Sometimes, if noone hears me I moan loudly until they come. I'm fine with needles now but my Mom will attest to my inability to take a shot well when I was little. Let's just say it took multiple nurses and promises of candy. But my Mom survived and I will too.
I also like to think both kids got their dancing skills from me.
